The Facts About Scars
This is because silicone based scar treatments have been shown to diminish the size and color of a wide range of scars. Silicone scar treatments come in both gels like SCARprin™ and silicone scar sheeting. While scar sheeting is effective, using a silicone scar gel has distinct advantages such as the fact that the barrier formed over the scar using SCARprin™ is both waterproof and unlike silicone sheeting is completely flexible. The other distinct difference between silicone sheeting and silicone gels is affordability. You will only need a small amount of SCARprin™ to cover your scar(s). Silicone is formed from combining silicon and oxygen atoms. The result is an ingredient which has multiple applications including as a safe and effective scar treatment. Besides forming a waterproof and completely flexible barrier over the scar which will help protect the scar from additional damage from natural elements, the silicone will also allow the scar to retain moisture from surrounding health areas of skin, which in turn will help the scar heal more efficiently. Unlike scar treatments which rely on multiple ingredients including onion extract or Vitamin E, SCARprin™ contains only variations of silicone. With very few exceptions, all wounds will result in some form of scarring. Some scars can be minor such as those resulting from minor skin trauma, while some scars may grow and expand beyond the boundary of the original scar such as Keloid Scars. Once a scar develops, it will typically remain unchanged unless it is treated. While there are multiple scar treatment options including medical intervention such as surgery, most health and skin care professionals will suggest using a topical silicone scar treatment such as SCARprin™.
SCARprin™ is composed of 100% silicone based ingredients. To apply SCARprin™, clean and dry the scar area and apply a small amount of the gel over the scar. Wait a few minutes for the gel to absorb (may not fully absorb), then remove any excess gel. Once absorbed, you can apply cosmetics and or sun block on top of the scar. You should repeat this process two times a day for maximum results. You should begin to see results in just a few weeks.
